Spiders & Fireworks

A random spider that I found in the bathroom, I looked online to try to identify it and I don't think it's poisonous. But it would probably still give you a bite if you piss it off. Click on the picture to bring up the full size version, it's quite detailed.

South African Fireworks in the Bay

These are photos from the South African team at the Celebration of Lights here in Vancouver. There was also a thunderstorm happening while the fireworks where happening, so occasionally there was fork lightning streaking across the sky with the fireworks. Duane & I caught up with my friend Mike from back in NZ and went down to English Bay to watch the fireworks in the rain. All the photos were taken using the fireworks setting on my camera, i think they turned out quite well. The display was way bigger than anything I've seen back in NZ.
