SNOW!!!

Today it snowed! It wasn't much, but it was still really cool being somewhere when it's snowing.

The snow at my work at about 10am this morning. My work's entrance can be seen on the left edge of the picture and the van on the left is the work van.

The snow from around lunchtime while we were out on a job fixing signs.

Frosty Coldness

Some random pics of my daily trip to work on the bus & the uber frost that has been there every morning this week. The weather has gone from constant rain to perfectly blue skies & chilly mornings, the highs get up to about 5 degrees & gets down to -5 degrees.

Survival & X-mas

Since I got my job I haven't had much time to explore and take photos of things, in fact I haven't had much time for anything. My job is pretty much the same sort of thing as my job back in NZ.
It's definitely winter here now, the temperature is sitting around 5-8 degrees highs and it has been raining for most of November, there has been flooding on Vancouver Island and there is a 4 1/2 metre snow base at Whistler (one of the mountains a few hours north, where some of the Olympic events are going to be held) and the local mountains across in North Vancouver have opened early. Duane is going snowboarding tomorrow up at Cypress, while I have to go to work.

Duane's grandparents sent him across a survival package along with his winter clothes. I really miss being able to go down to the local dairy or service station and buy a mince & cheese pie.

The Christmas lights on the house across the street, they have been up for the past week or so. I think it's a little early for them to be up. The shops have been selling Christmas stuff since before Halloween.
